The main difference I have seen between the two chairs is that Vitro uses a 16 gauge steel frame while Richardson Seating uses a 14 gauge steel frame. For those of you not familiar with this measurement, the lower the number, the thicker the steel. There are many different diner chairs that come in from China and other Asian countries. I have seen a few good ones, but most of what I see is pretty much junk. When searching for a diner chair, it is best to search for a commercial diner chair. Commercial diner chairs are built to last at diners, cafes, and commercial restaurant establishments. If they can last at a 24 hour diner, they are sure to last as kitchen chairs for years to come.
